NiQuitin lozenges are part of a programme designed to support your wish to stop smoking.  Using the lozenges at regular intervals gives your body the nicotine you need to help you stop smoking. Stopping smoking straightaway is best for your health but if you are not able to you can also use the lozenges to help you cut down before stopping or to help you stop smoking for short periods of time.

Instructions for use

The lozenge is designed to be dissolved in the mouth; normally this takes about 30 minutes.
When you feel the urge to smoke have a lozenge instead of a cigarette; use a lozenge every 1-2 hours.

Warnings and Precautions

DO NOT USE:
•    If you are allergic to nicotine or any of the other ingredients
•    If you suffer from phenylketonuria. The lozenges contain a source of phenylalanine which may be harmful to you.
•    If you are a non-smoker
•    If you have serious heart disease or have had a recent stroke
•    Do not use with other nicotine-containing products
•    Do not use the lozenges unless you have stopped smoking completely
•    NiQuitin CQ Mint Lozenges are not suitable for children or young adults under 18 years

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
•    Before using this medicine if you are under the care of your doctor or are receiving prescribed medicine
•    Before using this medicine, if you are pregnant, or breast feeding, or trying to become pregnant

Ingredients

Each lozenge contains 2mg nicotine (as nicotine polacrilex 22.2mg) Also includes mannitol (E421), sodium alginate, xanthan gum, potassium bicarbonate, calcium polycarbophil,  sodium carbonate, aspartame (E951), magnesium stearate and spearmint flavour. Each lozenge contains 15mg of sodium.
